Matt Sassano is at it again with another great single and music video, Dear God. Dear God is a single off his upcoming EP, In Defiance that drops August 26, with Rockfest Records. Matt Sassano previously released, Not My Name, which as of this article was Number 11 on the Christian Music Weekly Charts. Not My Name did reach number 1 and stayed there for 2 to 3 weeks straight!
His single, Dear God is a powerful cry out to God. For many years wrote letters to God seeking answers for the dark times he was living in. Matt was living with a disability, facing abuse and dealing with anxiety and became with withdrawn. It was during this time He began to see life go on without him adding to his frustration. These letters that he wrote to God, became an outlet to clear his mind while asking for direction, purpose, question faith and to vent.
He has began to see many fans resonating with, Dear God as they are coming forward with stories with abuse and trauma.
