About Solid Rock Radio
Solid Rock Radio is an exclusively online radio station based in Aiken, South Carolina, dedicated to broadcasting Christian Rock and Metal. From emerging independent artists to well-known bands, we share the full spectrum of the genre while pointing listeners to the hope found in Jesus Christ.
The station was founded in June 2006 by William Moore, who felt a tug on his heart to do more for the Kingdom. Growing up, William listened to Southern Gospel, 80’s and 90’s Rock, a unique combination that would later shape his vision for Solid Rock Radio. As a child, he and his stepbrother Charles often pretended to be DJs, spinning classic tracks and 80’s and 90’s hits for fun.
Fast forward to 2006. With a strong calling to radio and a limited budget, William turned to the next best option, internet broadcasting. That summer, Solid Rock Radio was born. The name was chosen not only to reflect our focus on Christian Rock but also to point to the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ, inspired by Matthew 7:24–27.
On May 28, 2018, Solid Rock Radio became Solid Rock Radio, Inc. and began the journey toward non-profit status. That milestone was reached on March 11, 2019, when the IRS officially recognized us as a 501(c)(3) ministry. Today, we are a listener-supported station, relying on the generosity of our audience to keep the music playing and the message of hope alive through Christian Rock and Metal.

Our mission is to Inspire, Share, Build and Declare!
- Inspire and strengthen believers through God-centered, Christ-exalting Christian Rock and Contemporary music, events, and programming, encouraging them to build their lives on the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ!
- Share the Gospel and prayerfully lead non-believers to Christ through the life-changing power of music and programming.
- Build partnerships with local churches and organizations to bring Christian concerts and events to our communities.
- Declare and honor the supremacy of Christ in all we do.
Our Cornerstone
Everything we do is built on the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ. Our name comes from the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:24–27, where He describes the wise person who builds their life on solid rock. This truth shapes who we are, the music we play, and the message we share.
Matthew 7:24–27 (NLT) – “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”
Luke 6:48 (NLT) – “It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built.”

Our Statement of Faith
Inspiration of the Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God.
The Holy Trinity
We believe in one God existing in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Son of God
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God as revealed to us in the Bible. He was born of a virgin birth and conceived by the Holy Spirit. He lived a perfect life, performed miracles and was crucified on the cross and rose from the dead.
Creation and fall of man
We believe that God created man as perfect beings, however, we sinned in the garden. Our punishment was a physical and spiritual death, which separated us from God.
Salvation
We believe that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. Repentance is commanded of us by God and is required for the forgiveness of our sins.
Baptism
We believe in water baptism and all that receive salvation should be baptized.
Communion
We believe in the Lord’s Supper and that it is commanded to the saints to do in remembrance of Him. It signifies his death, resurrection and second coming.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as described in the book of Acts.
The Great Commission
We believe that the Church is the body of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to evangelize the world, worship God and to encourage believers.
Divine Healing
We believe divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
Second coming of Christ
We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ from heaven. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints with Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth for a thousand years. After, will come the final judgement of the wicked and then a new heaven and a new earth.
