    Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Boaters on area lakes should use extra caution since strong winds and rough waves can overturn small craft. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
